Job summary

Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, GA seeks a PACU Registered Nurse (PRN) to oversee immediate post-operative care and airway management. You will monitor neurological and cardiac status, respond to complications, and coordinate with the surgical and anesthesia teams to keep patients stable during recovery.

Responsibilities include wound care, on-call availability for select hours, and education of patients and families.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• ACLS/BLS/PALS within specified timeframes.
• RN degree (Diploma/AN/BS) required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in post-operative recovery.
• Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams to ensure patient safety.
• Apply nursing process, critical thinking, and evidence-based practices.
• Monitor patient condition, document changes, and communicate effectively.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatment, and follow-up.
