Job summary

Doctors Hospital of Augusta seeks a Registered Nurse in PACU to provide immediate post-operative care, manage airway support, monitor neurological and cardiac status, and collaborate with the surgical and anesthesia teams to ensure patient safety.

This on-site role requires ACLS/BLS/PALS within specified frames, RN licensure with a Diploma, and a minimum of one year of PACU or surgical experience. The unit emphasizes teamwork and on-call availability.

Qualifications

• ACLS within 1 year of employment start date.
• BLS within 30 days of employment start date.
• PALS within 1 year of employment start date.
• RN license and diploma.
• 1 year of PACU or surgical experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered care following evidence-based practices.
• Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia, and therapy teams.
• Apply nursing process with critical thinking and leadership.
• Assess, monitor, and document patient condition changes.
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatment, and follow-up.
