Job summary

Workforce Recruiter is seeking a Hospital PACU Registered Nurse (RN) in Great Falls, MT, to support a busy surgical services division. This full-time, on-site role offers strong nurse-to-patient ratios, professional teamwork, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities include pre-op assessment, post-op monitoring, device care, pain control, and discharge planning. Montana licensure, BLS/ACLS/PALS, and 2–4 years’ acute care experience are required or preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN required; BSN preferred).
• Active Montana RN license in good standing.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required on hire.
• 2–4 years in acute Medical/Surgical or Critical Care setting.
• Critical Care (ICU) workflows familiarity preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, admit, and optimize patients for elective or outpatient procedures.
• Monitor post-anesthesia recovery, manage airway and ventilation as needed.
• Care for high-acuity post-op patients with chest tubes, lines, ventilator support.
• Wound, drain, and line management; monitor incisions and dressings.
• Titrate IV meds for post-op pain and PANV; manage hypothermia.
• Coordinate care plans with providers, anesthesia, and unit staff.
• Discharge planning and hand-offs to inpatient units.
