Job summary

Novi Surgery Center is seeking an experienced RN to provide direct patient care across pediatric to geriatric patients in the surgical setting. You will monitor post-operative status, communicate with the surgical team, and participate in performance improvement activities while maintaining patient confidentiality and safety.

The role emphasizes accurate documentation, adherence to infection control, and ability to adapt to varying post-operative needs with a focus on optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in Michigan
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification (or within six months of hire) as required by supervisor
• Basic skills related to aseptic/sterile technique
• Minimum of two years of work experience in a PACU

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care from pediatric through geriatric populations in the surgical setting
• Monitor patient status in immediate postoperative environment
• Communicate with surgeon and anesthesiologist about patient conditions
• Maintain PACU equipment and participate in performance improvement activities
• Document physiological data and patient responses for discharge planning
• Adhere to safety, infection control, and organizational policies
