Job summary

Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital in La Mirada, CA seeks an experienced Clinical Staff PACU Nurse. You will provide high-quality post-anesthesia care on 10-hour shifts, applying nursing processes and patient-centered care to a defined patient population.

You will collaborate with unit leadership, document IPOC using the Watson Model, monitor patient conditions, perform hourly rounding, SBAR handoffs, and promote patient safety and core values in a fast-paced perioperative setting.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in nursing required.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
• Current California nursing license.
• Post anesthesia nursing certification preferred.
• Minimum one year of critical care nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates nursing processes as a problem-solving model.
• Assessments focused to target areas for patient populations.
• Prioritize and organize patient care and ensure follow-through.
• Provide age-appropriate nursing care and meet regulatory standards.
• Document care using IPOC and the Watson Model of Care.
• Perform hourly rounding and SBAR handoffs.
• Collaborate with Care Managers for discharge planning.
• Maintain professional appearance and a safe, clean environment.
