Job summary

Doctors Hospital of Augusta is seeking a Registered Nurse in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) to provide immediate post-operative care for surgical patients. The role includes monitoring airway, neuro and cardiac status, wound care, and collaboration with the surgical and anesthesia teams.

You will be part of a dynamic team with on-call availability during select non-business hours, and you will participate in continuous improvement initiatives and hospital councils to elevate patient

Qualifications

• ACLS within 1 year of employment start date.
• BLS within 30 days of employment start date.
• PALS within 1 year of employment start date.
• RN is required and must be actively licensed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered post-operative care in PACU.
• Monitor airway, neurological and cardiac status; respond to complications.
• Perform initial wound care and ensure patient stability during recovery.
• Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams; participate in on-call rotations.
