Job summary

Orthopaedic South Surgical Center, part of USPI, is seeking a PACU Registered Nurse to join our team in Georgia. This full-time role focuses on safe recovery from anesthesia, patient comfort, and continuous assessment.

The PACU RN will support physicians, manage post-anesthesia care, and coordinate with the care team to ensure smooth discharge planning. BLS/ACLS, RN license, and PACU experience preferred.

Qualifications

• RN must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS if required by center.
• 2 years' PACU or Critical Care experience preferred.
• Strong nursing judgment to guide care.
• Ability to prioritize and organize workload.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from anesthesia or sedation.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in preparation for discharge.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and sterile techniques as deemed appropriate.
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times.
