Job summary

Baptist Health Care Corporation is seeking a Registered Nurse to manage individualized, goal-directed nursing care in the PACU, following the nursing process and hospital policies. You will work with surgeons, anesthesia personnel, and the multidisciplinary team to ensure safety, comfort, and timely recovery.

The role involves post-anesthesia assessments, administering therapies, and educating patients and families on postoperative care and discharge plans.

Qualifications

• Technical Diploma/Certificate Nursing required or
• Associates Degree in Nursing required
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive post anesthesia nursing assessments and provides individualized care.
• Demonstrates critical thinking to recognize changes in patient condition and elevate care.
• Develops and evaluates plans of care based on patient needs and anesthesia considerations.
• Administers medications and therapies as ordered and documents outcomes.
• Collaborates with anesthesia providers, surgeons, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care.
• Provides patient and family education including postoperative expectations and discharge instructions.
• Maintains accurate documentation of nursing assessments and interventions.
