Job summary

United Surgical Partners International, Inc. is seeking a caring PreOp/PACU RN to plan, direct and coordinate nursing care for post‑operative patients. You will admit, transfer and discharge patients, monitor vitals and anesthesia recovery, and document assessments per policy.

You will develop plans of care with clear goals and collaborate on discharge planning with the care team. The role requires GA licensure, BLS/ACLS/PALS, and 2+ years PACU experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current GA Nursing License.
• Current BLS, ACLS and PALS.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in Pre‑Op/PACU.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient.
• Ability to care for patients from infancy to geriatrics.
• Excellent teaching skills and professional conduct.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, organize, coordinate and implement nursing care for post‑surgical patients.
• Admit, transfer and discharge patients; document assessments per policy.
• Monitor vitals, pain, nausea, and anesthesia recovery; ensure patient safety.
• Develop patient plan of care with goals, outcomes and interventions.
• Coordinate discharge planning with care team and families.
• Demonstrate age‑appropriate care for adolescent to geriatric patients.
• Maintain aseptic technique and promptly address patient changes.
