Job summary

Henrico Doctors Hospital is seeking a PACU Registered Nurse to support immediate postoperative care in a fast-paced surgical unit. You will monitor airway, neurological and cardiac status, respond to complications and collaborate with the anesthesia team to ensure patient safety during recovery.

The role requires an RN license, a RN diploma, ACLS/BLS/PALS with 2 years of critical care experience, and on-call availability for some non-business hours.

Qualifications

• ACLS, BCLS, and PALS certifications required within 30 days of start date.
• RN license and nursing diploma required.
• Minimum of 2 years of critical care experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in PACU settings.
• Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams for perioperative care.
• Monitor airway, neurological and cardiac status; respond to complications.
• Perform initial wound care and ensure patient stability during recovery.
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatment and follow-up.
