Job summary

StoneSprings Hospital Center in Virginia seeks a PACU Registered Nurse to manage immediate post-operative care. You will monitor airway, neurological and cardiac status, perform initial wound care, and collaborate with the surgical/anesthesia teams. On-call availability will be discussed at interview.

Qualifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
• RN license or registration in good standing.
• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with valid nursing license.
• Full-time PACU position with a 4-day work week and on-call requirement.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in the immediate post-operative period.
• Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams to ensure patient safety.
• Apply nursing process, critical thinking, and clinical judgment to monitor and document patient status.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and follow-up care.
