Job summary

StoneSprings Hospital Center in Reston, VA is seeking a PACU Registered Nurse to care for patients in the immediate post-operative period. You will monitor airway, neuro and cardiac status, provide wound care, and coordinate with the surgical and anesthesia teams to ensure patient stability during recovery.

The role includes on-call availability during select non-business hours, with a strong emphasis on safety, collaboration, and evidence-based practice.

Qualifications

• ACLS must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
• Basic Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• PALS must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
• RN license/certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in post-operative recovery.
• Monitor airway, neurological and cardiac status and respond to complications.
• Provide initial wound care and ensure patient stability during recovery.
• Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams and document changes.
• Participate in on-call availability during select non-business hours.
