Job summary

Parkland Health is seeking a PRN RN to provide patient-centered care across units with an emphasis on safety and coordination. You will perform assessments, implement interventions, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.

Required are an active Texas or Compact RN license, BLS certification, and ACLS/ALS; PALS within 90 days. Bachelor’s degree is preferred; strong communication and precepting abilities are expected.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing and hold an active RN license.
• BSN preferred; secure BLS and ALS/ACLS credentials on hire or placement.
• PALS certification required within 90 days of hire; compact license allowed.
• Demonstrated ability to provide patient-centered nursing care per protocols.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to a defined patient population per plan of care and nursing standards.
• Perform assessments, initiate clinical interventions, and support discharge planning.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff; document accordingly.
• Offer direction to non-nursing staff and serve as a preceptor when needed.
