Job summary

Parkland Health and Hospital System is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Ambulatory Surgery Center. This PRN, day-shift role delivers patient-centered perioperative care, adheres to established protocols, and collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to restore stability and optimize patient outcomes.

Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program, hold a Texas RN license or Compact license, and have BLS.

Qualifications

• RN license in Texas or Compact
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers
• Current ALS or ACLS on hire
• PALS certification within 90 days of hire
• BSN preferred
• Nurse residency required if <9 months experience

Responsibilities

• Serves as patient advocate and maintains patient rights and confidentiality.
• Performs comprehensive assessments and plans of care with interdisciplinary team.
• Documents accurately and timely in patient records and hospital systems.
• Mentors/precepts junior staff and coordinates nursing care in the ASC setting.
