Job summary

Incredible Health is hiring a PACU RN in Jersey City, NJ to provide post-operative care, monitor vitals, and manage medications. You will collaborate with surgical teams to ensure safe transitions from operating room to PACU and discharge home.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with surgeons and anesthesia teams for patient transitions from OR to PACU and discharge.
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care, pain/wound management, and potential complications.
• Maintain accurate documentation per hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree (ADN) or above in nursing
• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
• 1 year experience in a PACU, ICU, or a similar high-acuity setting preferred
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications from the American Heart Association
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
• Proficient in electronic medical record systems

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate post-operative care to a variety of surgical patients, monitoring vital signs, and managing symptoms of anesthesia
• Administer prescribed medications and implement treatment plans as directed by medical staff
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams to ensure seamless patient transition from the operating room to the PACU to discharge home
• Educate patients and their families on post-operative care, including pain management, wound care, and potential complications
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with hospital policies and procedures

Salary: $70,920 to $127,500 /year
