RWJBarnabas Health's Jersey City Medical Center seeks an experienced RN for the Post Anesthesia Care Unit on the Day shift. This full-time role focuses on PACU/ICU care, with 35.3 weekly hours and weekend/holiday rotation, delivering high-quality perioperative nursing in a renowned teaching hospital near Manhattan.

The ideal candidate holds an ADN (BSN preferred), an active NJ RN license, BLS, ACLS and PALS, and demonstrates strong communication, organization, and computer skills to coordinate

Qualifications

• ADN from a nationally accredited school.
• PACU, ICU or Surgical ICU RN experience.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse provides nursing care in the health care system within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards and ensures compliance with ethical standards.
• The RN ensures safety in practice and applies evidence-based practice, communicating with and utilizing resources and programs available.
• The RN reports identified safety issues and ensures knowledge of the patient population served.
• The RN supervises and directs delegation of tasks to team members and collaborates with other care providers.
• The RN sets and evaluates priorities through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes toward improvement.
• The RN acts as an individual practitioner and team manager, integrating the nursing process into the plan of care.
