Job summary

Incredible Health is seeking a PACU RN in El Paso, TX to deliver immediate postoperative care for diverse surgical patients. You will monitor vitals, manage anesthesia symptoms, administer medications, and coordinate with surgeons to ensure smooth transitions from OR to PACU and discharge.

The ideal candidate holds an ADN or higher, an active RN license, BLS/ACLS, and at least 1 year in PACU/ICU or similar settings.

Qualifications

• ADN or higher nursing degree is required.
• Active and unencumbered RN license in good standing.
• 1 year in PACU/ICU or similar high-acuity setting preferred.
• BLS and ACLS from American Heart Association.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; team player.
• Proficient with electronic medical record systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate postoperative care, monitor vitals and anesthesia symptoms.
• Administer prescribed medications and follow treatment plans.
• Collaborate with surgeons and anesthesiologists for patient transitions to PACU and discharge.
• Educate patients/families on postoperative care, pain and wound management.
• Maintain accurate documentation per hospital policies.

Nurses with experience in any of the following areas are strongly encouraged to apply: Cardiac Monitoring, Circulate, Pediatric, Presurgical assessment, Robotic surgery, Transplant, or Wound & drain care.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree (ADN) or above in nursing
• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
• 1 year experience in a PACU, ICU, or a similar high-acuity setting preferred
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications from the American Heart Association
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
• Proficient in electronic medical record systems

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate post-operative care to a variety of surgical patients, monitoring vital signs, and managing symptoms of anesthesia
• Administer prescribed medications and implement treatment plans as directed by medical staff
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams to ensure seamless patient transition from the operating room to the PACU to discharge home
• Educate patients and their families on post-operative care, including pain management, wound care, and potential complications
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with hospital policies and procedures

Salary: $48,830 to $97,750 /year
