Job summary

Incredible Health is seeking a PACU RN in Denton, TX to provide immediate post-operative care across a variety of surgical patients. You will monitor vital signs, manage anesthesia-related symptoms, and collaborate with surgeons and anesthesiologists to ensure smooth patient transitions from the operating room to the PACU and home.

Requirements include ADN or higher, active RN license, BLS and ACLS, and strong teamwork and EMR proficiency.

Qualifications

  • ADN or higher nursing degree and active RN license.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications from American Heart Association.
  • 1 year of PACU/ICU or high-acuity setting experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Provide immediate post-operative care for diverse surgical patients.
  • Monitor vitals and manage anesthesia-related symptoms.
  • Administer prescribed medications and follow treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and care teams for smooth transitions.
  • Educate patients and families on post-op care and wound management.
  • Maintain accurate documentation per hospital policies.

Qualifications
  • Associate’s Degree (ADN) or above in nursing
  • Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
  • 1 year experience in a PACU, ICU, or a similar high-acuity setting preferred
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications from the American Heart Association
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
  • Proficient in electronic medical record systems
Responsibilities
  • Provide immediate post-operative care to a variety of surgical patients, monitoring vital signs, and managing symptoms of anesthesia
  • Administer prescribed medications and implement treatment plans as directed by medical staff
  • Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams to ensure seamless patient transition from the operating room to the PACU to discharge home
  • Educate patients and their families on post-operative care, including pain management, wound care, and potential complications
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with hospital policies and procedures
