Job summary

Incredible Health is hiring a PACU RN in Hackensack, NJ to join Hospitals actively recruiting. The role involves providing immediate postoperative care to a variety of surgical patients and collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and care teams.

Shift options include day, night and mid shifts; job types: full-time, part-time, per diem. Requires ADN or higher and active RN license, BLS and ACLS, and 1 year PACU/ICU experience.

Qualifications

• ADN or higher nursing degree and active RN license.
• 1 year PACU/ICU or high-acuity experience preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; EMR proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate post-operative care and monitor vitals.
• Administer medications and follow treatment plans.
• Coordinate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams for patient transitions.
• Educate patients and families on postoperative care, including pain management and wound care.
• Maintain accurate documentation in line with hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree (ADN) or above in nursing


• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license


• 1 year experience in a PACU, ICU, or a similar high-acuity setting preferred


• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications from the American Heart Association


• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team


• Proficient in electronic medical record systems

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate post-operative care to a variety of surgical patients, monitoring vital signs, and managing symptoms of anesthesia


• Administer prescribed medications and implement treatment plans as directed by medical staff


• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams to ensure seamless patient transition from the operating room to the PACU to discharge home


• Educate patients and their families on post-operative care, including pain management, wound care, and potential complications


• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with hospital policies and procedures

Salary: $70,920 to $117,990 /year
