Job summary

Incredible Health in Detroit, MI is hiring PACU RNs to provide immediate post-operative care across a range of surgical cases. You will monitor vitals, manage anesthesia-related symptoms, and collaborate with surgeons and anesthesiologists to transition patients from the operating room to recovery and home.

The role emphasizes teamwork, EMR proficiency, and strong communication with patients and families. Required ADN or higher, active RN license, 1 year PACU/ICU experience if possible, and

Qualifications

• ADN or higher nursing degree.
• Active RN license in good standing.
• 1 year PACU/ICU or similar high-acuity experience preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate post-operative care to a variety of surgical patients; monitor vitals and anesthesia-related symptoms.
• Administer prescribed medications and implement treatment plans as directed by medical staff.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams to ensure smooth patient transition from OR to PACU and discharge home.
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care including pain management, wound care, and potential complications.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with hospital policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree (ADN) or above in nursing
• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
• 1 year experience in a PACU, ICU, or a similar high-acuity setting preferred
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications from the American Heart Association
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
• Proficient in electronic medical record systems
