Job summary

Incredible Health in Rahway, NJ is actively hiring a PACU RN to provide immediate post-operative care, monitor vitals, administer medications, and support safe transitions from the OR to discharge. The role offers day, night and mid shifts with full-time, part-time or per-diem options.

Qualified candidates hold an ADN or higher, an active NJ RN license, and ideally one year in PACU/ICU or a similar high-acuity setting.

Qualifications

• ADN or higher required in nursing.
• Active RN license in New Jersey.
• 1 year PACU/ICU/high-acuity experience preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; team player.
• Proficient with electronic medical record systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate post-operative care and monitor vitals.
• Administer prescribed medications and follow treatment plans.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams for patient transitions.
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care and potential complications.
• Maintain accurate documentation per hospital policies.

Nurses with experience in any of the following areas are strongly encouraged to apply: Cardiac Monitoring, Circulate, Pediatric, Presurgical assessment, Robotic surgery, Transplant, or Wound & drain care.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree (ADN) or above in nursing
• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
• 1 year experience in a PACU, ICU, or a similar high-acuity setting preferred
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications from the American Heart Association
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
• Proficient in electronic medical record systems

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate post-operative care to a variety of surgical patients, monitoring vital signs, and managing symptoms of anesthesia
• Administer prescribed medications and implement treatment plans as directed by medical staff
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams to ensure seamless patient transition from the operating room to the PACU to discharge home
• Educate patients and their families on post-operative care, including pain management, wound care, and potential complications
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with hospital policies and procedures

Salary: $70,920 to $117,990 /year
