Job summary

Incredible Health in Elizabeth, NJ is seeking a PACU RN to provide post-operative care for diverse surgical patients. You’ll monitor vitals, manage anesthesia-related symptoms, and work with surgeons and anesthesiologists to move patients from the OR to PACU and home.

Requirements include an ADN or higher in nursing, NJ RN license, BLS and ACLS, and 1 year in PACU/ICU or similar setting. EMR proficiency and strong teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Active and unencumbered RN license in NJ
• 1 year experience in a PACU/ICU or high-acuity setting preferred
• ADN or higher in nursing
• BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
• Proficient in electronic medical record systems

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate post-operative care to a variety of surgical patients, monitoring vital signs and managing anesthesia-related symptoms
• Administer prescribed medications and implement treatment plans as directed by medical staff
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams to ensure seamless transition from operating room to PACU to discharge home
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care, including pain management and wound care
• Maintain accurate/documentation in compliance with hospital policies and procedures
