Job summary

Pardee UNC Health Care is seeking a Clinical Nurse for the Recovery Room on a per diem, onsite basis. The role reports to Nurse Manager/Director and coordinates patient care using the nursing process in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities include administering care under physician direction, documenting plans and patient responses, and collaborating with the care team to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes. Per diems translate to flexible scheduling with variable hours.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina or a compact state by start date.
• BLS certification required.
• PALS certification required.
• ACLS certification required.
• Preferred: 1 year RN experience in acute inpatient hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Administers patient care under the direction of a physician and collaborates with the care team to achieve expected patient outcomes.
• Records and reports the plan of care, nursing care provided, and patient response.
• Delivers competent clinical nursing care in line with policies and procedures.
• Organizes and prioritizes care according to patient/family needs; consults resources for complex cases.
• Maintains effective intra- and interdepartmental communication within a clinical operations environment.
• Synthesizes data to prioritize care, including physical, psychosocial, education and safety needs.
• Communicates with patient/family to update the plan of care using cultural competency and active listening.
• Develops clinical and operational excellence through education and training.
