Job summary

SolutionHealth is seeking a PACU RN to provide postoperative care in a fast-paced setting, monitoring vital signs, administering medications and IV fluids, and supporting patients and families throughout recovery.

The ideal candidate holds an accredited nursing degree, NH or compact RN license, and is able to obtain BLS during orientation; ACLS is preferred. Full-time, day shift, 32 hours per week, with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• New Hampshire RN or Compact State RN License.
• Ability to obtain BLS qualification during orientation period and maintain; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring that patients receive optimal postoperative care through monitoring vital signs and conducting assessments.
• Providing comfort measures to ensure patient's comfort as they recover from anesthesia.
• Administering medications, pain relief, and IV fluids as prescribed by the physician.
• Educating patients on their recovery progress and answering questions.
• Assisting with discharge planning to ensure a smooth transition back home.
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide the best care possible for patients after surgery.
• Documenting patient's postoperative care in medical records accurately and completely.
