Job summary

Joseph Michaels International is seeking a Hospital PACU Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time, on-site role in Great Falls, Montana. The RN will support perioperative care in a hospital-based setting, ensuring safe pre-op preparation and swift post-anesthesia recovery.

The position emphasizes excellent nurse-to-patient ratios, teamwork, and adherence to safety protocols, with rotating shifts from early morning to evening.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; ADN required; BSN preferred.
• Active, unrestricted RN licensure in Montana (or compact/endorsement eligibility).
• Core certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS are required upon hire.
• Minimum of 2–4 years of recent hospital experience in acute Medical/Surgical or Critical Care.

Responsibilities

• Pre-Operative Preparation: assess, admit, and optimize patients for elective/outpatient procedures.
• Phase I Recovery: monitor and stabilize patients waking from anesthesia; manage airway and vital signs.
• Advanced Visual & Device Care: care for patients with chest tubes, lines, and short-term ventilator support (training provided).
• Wound/Line Management: monitor wounds, drains, and dressings to prevent complications.
