Job summary

HCA Florida North Florida Hospital in Gainesville, FL is seeking a PACU Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality post-operative care. You will manage airway support, monitor neurological and cardiac status, and respond swiftly to complications as part of a dynamic team with anesthesia and surgery colleagues.

You’ll participate in on-call coverage for select non-business hours and contribute to evidence-based practice, patient education, and safe recovery planning in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• RN Diploma or RN license required.
• Critical level experience will be strongly considered.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while applying evidence-based practices and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team including providers, therapy, and nursing staff.
• Apply nursing process, critical thinking, and leadership to deliver safe care.
• Assess patient condition, monitor changes, and document care thoroughly.
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatment, and follow-up.
