Job summary

HCA Florida Capital Hospital in Tallahassee, FL is seeking a PACU Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality postoperative care and support patient recovery.

You will work with surgical and anesthesia teams, monitor neurologic and cardiac status, manage airway support, and provide wound care while on-call during select hours. This role emphasizes evidence-based practice and a collaborative, patient-centered approach.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BCLS required; must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• PALS or Pediatric Advanced Life Support required within 30 days of start date.
• RN license with nursing degree as specified for the role.
• Acute care experience is required for this PACU position.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in the PACU setting.
• Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams throughout post-operative recovery.
• Monitor airway, neurological and cardiac status; respond to complications.
• Provide initial wound care and document patient condition changes.
• Be available for on-call shifts as discussed in interviews.
