HCA Florida West Hospital in Pensacola, FL is seeking a PACU Registered Nurse to provide immediate post-operative care. You will manage airway support, monitor neurological and cardiac status, respond to complications, provide initial wound care, and ensure patient stability while coordinating with the surgical and anesthesia teams.

This role includes on-call availability during select non-business hours, self/preferential scheduling, and a collaborative team culture.

Qualifications

• ACLS certification required within 90 days of start date.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of start date.
• PALS certification required within 90 days of start date.
• RN license in good standing (RN).
• Associate degree or RN diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in the PACU using evidence-based practices.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Apply nursing process, critical thinking, and clinical judgement to monitor patients.
• Assess patient condition, document changes, and communicate care plans.
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatment, and follow-up steps.
