Job summary

HCA Healthcare, Heart Hospital of Austin is seeking a PACU Registered Nurse to provide immediate post-operative care, monitor airway, neurological and cardiac status, and collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams. You will participate in on-call rotations and contribute to a culture of safety and excellence in patient care.

This role emphasizes evidence-based practice, continuous improvement, and coordination with a dynamic interdisciplinary team to support recovery and smooth transitions

Qualifications

• RN license or compact license where applicable.
• ACLS completed within 90 days of employment start date.
• BLS completed within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in the PACU setting.
• Monitor airway, neurological and cardiac status and respond promptly to changes.
• Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams.
• Document patient condition and care provided during recovery.
• Educate patients and families about post-operative care and follow-up.
