Job summary

Iredell Health System is seeking a PACS Administrator to oversee the PACS system, train users, and manage accounts and privileges. The role includes monitoring performance, basic troubleshooting, and ensuring proper handling of patient records within the PACS environment.

The position requires strong communication with all staff levels, including physicians, and the ability to work in a hospital setting with physical requirements such as lifting equipment when needed.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required in information systems technologies or Radiologic Sciences.
• Three years of experience in radiology or information systems.
• Solid understanding of system network technologies.
• Familiarity with Radiology work flows.

Responsibilities

• Manage the PACS system end-to-end including user accounts and privileges.
• Provide initial and ongoing training for system users.
• Monitor system performance and perform basic troubleshooting for day-to-day users.
• Ensure patient records are managed securely within the PACS environment.

Job description

Responsible for the overall management of the PACS system, including initial and on-going training, managing accounts and system privileges of various levels of users, management of patient records, monitoring of system performance and basic troubleshooting for day to day users.
Shift: 1 day per week, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, call every other week

Requirements

• Associate Degree in information systems technologies or Radiologic Sciences.
• Three years experience in the radiology field or information systems.
• Documented skills in system network technologies.
• Demonstrated understanding of Radiology work flow patterns.
• Must have the ability to communicate with all levels of staff including physicians.
• Must be of reasonable physical ability as the position will require walking throughout the hospital, sitting or standing for periods of time and moving and lifting computer equipment and monitors on occasion.
• Must possess full range of body motion to pass basic FIT test for position to include walking, kneeling, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching and sitting for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
