Job summary

Simtra BioPharma Solutions is seeking a Production Technician III in Bloomington, IN to directly support packaging equipment. You will set up, change over, and troubleshoot during batch processing, working with cross-functional teams to maximize equipment efficiency and drive continuous improvement.

You will analyze downtime and bottlenecks, communicate issues promptly, and help train operators while contributing to SOP improvements and equipment qualification activities.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a technical field is preferred.
• High school diploma or GED with proven mechanical aptitude.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook and enterprise software such as ERP.

Responsibilities

• Analyze machine/line downtime and efficiency to respond to operational needs.
• Communicate equipment issues to shifts, Supervisor and appropriate personnel via electronic reports.
• Evaluate and implement improvements to equipment/ processes to increase efficiencies.
• Use downtime data and OEE to identify bottlenecks in the process.
• Initiate/complete work orders for equipment problems.
• Provide recommendations and solutions for equipment/process challenges.
• Ensure setup and changeover activities are complete and accurate, targeting shorter times.
• Evaluate changeover parts and order replacements as needed.
• Train Machine Operators on operation, setup, changeover and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with Finishing Training, Supervisors and Operators to improve SOPs.
