Job summary

Simtra BioPharma Solutions in Bloomington, IN, is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician - Packaging for the 3rd shift to support daily packaging operations in a pharmaceutical production environment. You will report to the Maintenance & Automation Supervisor and work Sunday-Thursday 11pm-7:30am, with weekend OT during campaigns.

Candidates should have 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience with automated packaging equipment and strong safety focus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical associate degree preferred.
• 5+ years industrial maintenance experience in a multi-craft environment.
• Experience with automated inspection and packaging equipment preferred.
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and manuals.
• Strong communication and computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair automated packaging equipment.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement projects.
• Support equipment startups, changeovers, and line optimization.
• Collaborate with production, engineering and quality teams to resolve issues.
• Develop and perform preventative maintenance procedures.
• Review equipment failures and recommend reliability improvements.
• Maintain equipment documentation and change control.
• Complete work orders and maintain maintenance logs.
• Participate in spare part analysis and inventory development.
• Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment.
• Ensure equipment meets safety and quality standards.
