Job summary

Simtra US LLC's Bloomington, IN site is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician - Packaging to support daily pharmaceutical packaging operations. You will report to the Maintenance & Automation Supervisor and work the 3rd shift (Sun-Sat 11pm–7:30am) with pre-scheduled weekend OT during campaigns.

Qualifications

5+ years industrial maintenance experience in a multi-craft environment.
Experience with automated inspection and packaging equipment is preferred.
Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
Effective communication skills and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and enterprise software.
Must be able to work 3rd shift and overtime during campaigns.

Responsibilities

Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair automated packaging equipment (dens/renesters, AIMs, labelers, conveyors, thermoformers, cartoners, robots).
Identify and implement continuous improvement projects.
Support startups, changeovers, and line optimization.
Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams on issues.
Develop and follow preventative maintenance procedures to reduce downtime.
Review component failures and improve long-term reliability.
Maintain equipment documentation and change control per internal procedures.
Complete work orders timely and maintain maintenance logs.
Assist with spare parts analysis and inventory development.
Assist with installation and commissioning of new packaging equipment.
Ensure equipment operates in compliance with safety and quality standards.
