Job summary

Simtra BioPharma Solutions in Bloomington, IN, seeks a Production Technician III to support packaging equipment on the production floor, performing initial set-up, changeovers, and troubleshooting between batches. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to maximize efficiency and drive continuous improvement.

You will analyze downtime and line performance, communicate issues, and help implement improvements to reduce bottlenecks while ensuring accurate setup and changeovers for timely

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in a technical field.
• High school diploma or GED required with proven mechanical aptitude.
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook and the ability to use enterprise software (examples include: Microsoft Dynamics, Veeva, Trackwise, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Analyze machine downtime and efficiency information to respond to operational needs.
• Communicate equipment issues to shifts, Supervisor and appropriate personnel via electronic tech report.
• Evaluate and implement improvements to processes to increase efficiencies and reduce waste.
• Use downtime reports, OEE, and data to target bottlenecks in the process.
• Initiate/complete work orders for equipment related problems.
• Provide recommendations and implement solutions to equipment/process challenges.
• Ensure setup and changeover activities are complete and accurate with target changeover times.
• Evaluate changeover parts and ensure repairs or replacements are ordered.
• Provide training to Machine Operators for operation, setup, changeover and troubleshooting.
• Work with Finishing Training, Supervisors, and Operators to improve SOPs.
