Job summary

Simtra BioPharma Solutions in Bloomington, Indiana, is seeking a Production Technician III to support packaging equipment on the floor, perform initial setup, changeovers, and troubleshoot during batches. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to maximize equipment efficiency and drive continuous improvement.

The role requires hands-on operation, effective communication, and the ability to complete work orders, evaluate downtime data, and help improve SOPs.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or technical equivalent preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required with proven mechanical aptitude.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook; ability to use enterprise software (Dynamics, Veeva, Trackwise).

Responsibilities

• Analyze downtime and efficiency data to respond to operational needs.
• Communicate equipment issues to shifts, supervisors, and personnel via electronic reports.
• Evaluate and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce downtime.
• Use downtime data and OEE to target bottlenecks and drive actions.
• Initiate and complete work orders for equipment problems.
• Provide recommendations and solutions to equipment and process challenges.
• Ensure setup and changeover are complete, accurate, and meet target times.
• Train Machine Operators on operation, setup, changeover, and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate to improve SOPs and assist during equipment qualification/validation.
