Job summary

Simtra BioPharma Solutions in Bloomington, Indiana is seeking a Production Technician III to support equipment in the Packaging production area, including initial setup, changeovers, and troubleshooting to keep lines running smoothly.

The role reports to the Finishing Supervisor and engages with cross-functional teams to improve equipment efficiency and drive continuous improvement, with emphasis on accurate setup and timely changeovers.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in a technical field is required.
• High school diploma or GED required with proven mechanical aptitude.
• Experience with enterprise software is a plus (Dynamics, Trackwise).

Responsibilities

• Analyze machine/line downtime and efficiency data to respond to operational needs.
• Communicate equipment issues to shifts, Supervisor and personnel via tech report.
• Evaluate and implement process improvements to increase efficiencies and reduce downtime.
• Use downtime reports and OEE data to identify bottlenecks and target improvements.
• Initiate work orders for equipment problems and track resolutions.
• Provide training to Machine Operators on operation, setup, changeover and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with Finishing Training and Supervisors to improve SOPs.
• Support equipment qualification/validation activities.
