Job summary

Pure Food Specialties is seeking a Packaging Supervisor for the 3rd shift with experience in packaging operations and bilingual Spanish abilities to lead a line crew.

You will oversee packaging lines, enforce safety and quality standards, coach operators, coordinate with management, and ensure uptime and efficiency while maintaining FDA guidelines.

Experience in directing staff and diagnosing equipment, along with strong communication skills in English and Spanish, is required.

Qualifications

• Experience directing employees and operating and diagnosing packaging equipment.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operations of all packaging lines under the supervisor of the shift supervisor.
• Supervise and coordinate activities such as work procedures, employee rotation, work schedules and attendance.
• Evaluate and recommend employees for hire or termination.
• Coordinate with management to ensure production activities are efficient.
• Enforce company safety, break & lunch policies.
• Resolve concerns following company policies and standards of behavior.
• Track and communicate employee performance and provide disciplinary actions as needed.
• Train and coach operators to maintain high efficiency and minimal downtime.
• Ensure packaging equipment is in operational condition and tasks for clean workplace.
• Document downtime and lost efficiency.
• Ensure quality guidelines for products are followed.
• Enforce FDA and company guidelines.
• Assist with Continuous Improvement.
• Maintain LOTO certification.
• Review quality control documents.
• Ensure Food Safety of Production.
• Communicate cross-functional shift activities daily.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as required by management.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Operations of all packaging lines under the supervisor of the shift supervisor.

• Supervises and coordinates activities such as work procedures, employee rotation, work schedules and attendance

• Actively seek to resolve any concerns while adhering to the company policy and standards of behavior
• Tracks and communicates employee performance and provides disciplinary / corrective action as needed
• Train and coach other operators and line employees to maintain high efficiency with minimal down time
• Coordinates with management to assure production activities are as efficient as possible
• Ensure all packaging equipment is in operational condition
• Establish tasks for employees to ensure a clean workplace

• Experience: Must have experience in giving direction to employees and operating and diagnosing equipment.

PREFERRED SKILLS

• Must be able to communicate with both direct report employees and management
• Must have understanding of FDA guidelines and company policies. Mathematical skills,
• Bilingual is preferred
