Job summary

Amcor Indianapolis is seeking a Product Development Engineer to drive bottle product innovations from concept to production readiness. You will collaborate with Customers, Sales, Design Engineers, Project Managers, R&D, Manufacturing, and QA to deliver next-generation products that boost profitability and growth.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering, hands-on bottle development experience, strong communication, and travel as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in product development and manufacturing of bottles; multi-process exposure (EBM, SBM, RHB).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge in statistical methods and programs (SPC/DOE/MiniTab).
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Project management experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a multi-functional team through the development of new products from concept, manufacturing implementation, and commercial launch.
  • Execute the project plan and drive decisions to deliver on time, within budget, and within scope.
  • Oversee product and tooling design, lead ideation sessions, perform DFMEA, and lead design reviews for team alignment.
  • Coordinate the Technical Development Plan for RFQs or Business Cases, including costs and technologies.
  • Lead technical communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Report deviations on time, cost, and deliverables to senior management as the project progresses.
  • Ensure adherence to Berry, industry, and regulatory procedures plus ISO processes.
