Job summary

Amcor is hiring a Product Development Engineer to join the Bottles Product Development team in the North America region. You will own technical aspects of development from initiation through full production capability, collaborating with Customers, Sales, Design Engineers, Project Managers, R&D, Manufacturing and other groups to create next generation bottle products that drive profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience in product development and manufacturing of bottles.
• Ability to travel as needed.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge in statistical methods and programs (SPC/DOE/MiniTab).
• Self-motivated and assertive individual.
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task, be proactive and results-oriented.
• Project management experience a plus.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multi-functional team through development of new products from concept to launch.
• Execute project plans to deliver on time, budget, and scope.
• Oversee product and tooling design, lead ideation, analysis, and design reviews.
• Coordinate Technical Development Plan for RFQs and business cases.
• Lead technical communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Report deviations on time, cost, and deliverables to senior management.
• Ensure adherence to Berry, industry, and regulatory procedures and ISO processes.
• Collaborate with Quality to establish CTQ metrics and validate process capability.
