Job summary

Sofidel America is seeking a Packaging Operator to support the Converting Production. The role operates primary and secondary packaging machinery and maintains safety and quality standards on a 12-hour day/night shift with rotating weekends.

You will work with a team to meet production goals and ensure product specifications are satisfied. The position emphasizes adherence to GMP/HACCP, proper documentation, and safe operation while maintaining a clean, organized work area and cooperating with

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED with 6–12 months experience in manufacturing/inventory/purchasing or equivalent.
• Able to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and quality manuals.
• Strong time management and teamwork skills; able to prioritize tasks and work across departments.
• Willingness to learn and certify in Lift and Crane operation; proficient with common measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, adjust, and change over packaging equipment.
• Achieve production targets and line uptime as part of a team.
• Maintain GMP/HACCP standards and document quality and maintenance issues.
• Follow safety rules, housekeeping standards, and reporting procedures.
• Inspect equipment condition and communicate problems to supervision or maintenance.
• Assist other operators and maintenance staff as needed.
