Sofidel America is seeking a Packaging Operator to support Converting Production. This role operates paper converting equipment, ensures safety compliance, and delivers products meeting customer specs.

It involves a 12-hour day/night schedule with weekend rotations and occasional shifts between days and nights. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, ability to interpret manuals, and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, manuals, and quality procedures.
• Strong time-management and prioritization skills.
• Ability to write routine reports and documentation.
• Ability to learn and certify in lift and crane operation.
• Proficient in using measuring tools and basic metrology equipment.
• Ability to communicate clearly with production teams to ensure quality and safety.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, adjust, and change over packaging equipment.
• Run line to meet production rates and maintain uptime.
• Perform basic line maintenance and report issues to maintenance.
• Document quality control and maintenance issues on forms.
• Follow GMP, HACCP, and safety policies consistently.
• Read production schedules and equipment specifications to operate correctly.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Collaborate with operators and maintenance staff as needed.
