Job summary

Sofidel America, a leading paper products manufacturer, seeks a Packaging Operator to support converting production with 12-hour day/night shifts on a rotating schedule. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and adherence to customer specs.

Responsibilities include set-up and operation of packaging equipment, teamwork to meet production goals, and basic maintenance coordination. A GED or high school diploma and related experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 6–12 months experience manufacturing inventory and purchasing and/or training.
• Ability to work across departments and in a team environment.
• Strong time-management skills; ability to prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities

• Supports GMP and HACCP to promote a safe, sanitary workplace.
• Set-up, operation, adjustment, and change-over of packaging equipment.
• Collaborate with line staff to achieve production rates and uptime.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks and communicate needs to maintenance staff.
• Document quality control, production and maintenance issues.
• Understand product specifications to ensure quality within tolerances.
