Job summary

Sofidel America, a subsidiary of the Sofidel Group, is seeking a Packaging Operator to support the converting production line in a safe, compliant environment. You will operate packaging equipment, ensure product specs, and follow safety policies to meet customer requirements.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 6–12 months of manufacturing experience; training may lead to Lift and Crane certification. Rotating 12-hour day/night shifts are involved.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 6–12 months experience in manufacturing, inventory, purchasing or related training.
• Ability to work across departments and in a team environment.
• Ability to prioritize and manage tasks with strong time-management skills.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and quality manuals.
• Ability to learn and certify in Lift and Crane operation.
• Ability to use measuring tools and basic metrology instruments.
• Identify nonconformance and notify supervisor of issues.

Responsibilities

• Supports GMP and HACCP to promote a safe, sanitary and hygienic workplace.
• Set up, operate, adjust, and change over packaging equipment.
• Work with the line team to achieve production rates and line uptime.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks and report issues to Maintenance staff.
• Document quality control and maintenance issues on reporting forms.
• Read schedules and specifications to operate equipment correctly.
