A leading company in cheese production is seeking a Packaging Operator to manage the packaging department. The role involves operating machinery, quality control, and training team members. Candidates should possess strong operational skills and a high school diploma. This full-time position requires working on a 2-2-3 rotation during the night shift.
The Packaging Operator is responsible for the operation of the packaging department including the packaging, palletizing and boxing of cheese, documentation, and all other related processes throughout the packaging area. The schedule is full time working a 2-2-3 rotation on 2nd Shift, 4:00pm to 4:00am.

While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The Team Member frequently is required to walk and talk or hear. The Team Member is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The Team Member must frequently lift and/or move 40 lb. blocks of cheese. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is often exposed to extreme, non-weather-related heat as well as wet and/or humid conditions. The Team Member is always exposed to moving mechanical parts. Furthermore, the Team Member is regularly exposed to toxic and/or caustic chemicals used for cleaning. The noise level is usually loud and may require ear protection.
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED
While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member may be required to work with motorized pallet truck, elevator, calculator, printer, copy machine, scanning equipment and box taper.
PPE’s REQUIRED
Personal protective equipment that is required when working with hazardous materials or loud equipment includes: safety goggles, rubber or latex gloves, lab coat and hearing protection.
