Position Title: Packaging Operator



Wage: $21.50/Hour ($19.50 base + $2.00 shift premium)



Shift: 2nd Shift



Hours:

• Shift Options: 4:00 PM - 4:00 AM


• Option A: Friday-Sunday, every other weekend


• Option B: Monday-Tuesday, every other week


• Option C: Wednesday-Thursday, every other week

Join a leading cheese manufacturer as a Packaging Operator, where you'll help ensure top-quality packaging, labeling, and shipping of products. This is a hands-on role in a clean, fast-paced, and safety-focused environment-ideal for individuals who take pride in precision, teamwork, and food safety standards.



Packaging Operator Responsibilities:

- Operate and monitor packaging machinery to ensure product quality

- Enter work orders and item codes, weigh and label blocks

- Box cheese and perform quality control checks

- Palletize and move finished products to staging areas

- Close work orders and record shipment information

- Perform setup, calibration, and minor maintenance on equipment

- Sanitize equipment and packaging areas per procedures



Requirements For Packaging Operator:

- High school degree or equivalent (GED), preferred

- Experience in a manufacturing setting, preferably food manufacturing

- Lift 20-30lbs repetitively, flipping and lifting product above shoulder height and from waist down to floor level pallets

- Strong operation control and monitoring skills

- Basic math skills for weight measurement and counts

- Ability to read and comprehend work-related documents and instructions

- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office

- Forklift certified (training and certification provided internally)

- Must be quality focused and able to follow GMP requirements and food safety requirements
