Job summary

ASR Group in Chalmette, LA seeks a Packaging Team Manager to lead production, drive reliability, quality and safety, and coordinate a high performing workforce. You will manage supervisors, balance shifts, and push continuous improvement initiatives.

Required are 3–5 years of management experience in a food/beverage environment, a Bachelor’s degree, GMP knowledge, and strong problem solving with a Lean/Kaizen mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; continuous improvement certification preferred.
• Experience in a technical role (maintenance/engineering/operations) is essential.
• 3–5 years of management experience overseeing supervisors in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of GMPs and food/beverage production is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct and develop production supervisors to meet daily goals for volume, quality and safety.
• Analyze production data and implement strategies to improve performance.
• Track KPIs (OEE, waste, labor utilization, downtime, safety) and control costs.
• Lead cost reduction through process optimization and budget management.
• Coach, develop, and evaluate employees; ensure proper training and skills matrices.
• Foster accountability and a culture of continuous improvement across shifts.
