Job summary

ASR Group is seeking a Packaging Supervisor to direct sugar packaging production on rotating shifts, leading union personnel on the production floor. You will ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance while driving production targets and OEE improvements.

You will spend significant time on the production floor, coaching teams, solving problems, and coordinating with maintenance and quality control to meet daily objectives and continuous improvement goals.

Qualifications

Ability and wiliness to train others.
Quantifiable leadership skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays and rotating shifts.
Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical and instrumentation.
Proficient with Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices is required.
Minimum of 3-years experience in an industrial food manufacturing/production environment supervising shift employees.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and supervise daily production activities to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets.
Monitor production performance and address issues in real time.
Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining OEE and waste targets.
Conduct daily huddle meetings and communicate priorities within departments.
Manage employee performance, attendance, overtime coverage, and disciplinary actions as required.
Follow Standard Work to achieve production result through employee leadership in a unionized environment.
Lead and support Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen initiatives to improve Operating Efficiency - OEE.
