Job summary

Western International Gas & Cylinders, Inc. in West Deptford is seeking a Packaged Gases Customer Service Representative to support sales campaigns, schedule appointments, and assist with quotes.

You will liaise with Sales Leaders, Corporate Marketing, and Customer Service to enhance customer satisfaction. The role requires excellent customer service, ability to work independently, and basic MS Office; prior experience with outbound calls is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; prior outbound calling/inside sales or marketing desirable.

• Clear and effective speaking manner for explaining information to customers and colleagues.
• Basic arithmetic and proficiency with standard office software.

Responsibilities

• Place outbound calls to schedule appointments for sales with customers.
• Provide quotes or complete sales when appropriate.
• Identify opportunities and relay information to sales/marketing for follow-up.
• Restock and organize showroom merchandise; keep shelves and displays neat.
• Handle product requests, pricing, and technical information.
• Assist in warehouse tasks: shipping, receiving, stocking, labeling.
• Maintain showroom cleanliness as directed by management.
• Identify leads and participate in pre-qualification with sales and marketing.
• Track outcomes of outbound campaigns.
• Back up inbound customer service as needed.
• Comply with all DOT and OSHA regulations and safety rules.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Packaged Gases Customer Service Representative - West Deptford

Manages sales campaigns with the intent of either schedulingappointments for sales to improve sales productivity or by gaining business viadirect quote/follow up. Assesses customer satisfaction with MTG products andservices via conducting surveys and provides insights for addressing customerconcerns. Works closely with SBU Sales Leaders, Sales, Corporate Marketing andCustomer Service.

Essential Function

• 1. Place outbound calls with the prime purpose of schedulingappointments for sales with new or existing customers, notifying sales ofcommitted appointment times and then following up with a courtesy call to determinecustomer satisfaction/needs.
• 2. Provides quotes or completes the sale, if campaignappropriate to directly gain new business.
• 3. Probes and identifies problematicsituations/opportunities that could protect or yield new business for MTG and communicatesthe information to the appropriate function for follow up.
• 4. Restocks store merchandise as needed. Arranges stock onshelves or racks in sales area and keeps merchandise in order. Marks or ticketsmerchandise.
• 5. Manages requests for products, price and technicalinformation.
• 6. Assist in warehouse in shipping & receiving,inventory stocking, cleaning, labeling, or other tasks.
• 7. Maintains showroom cleanliness by procedures set forth by management.
• 8. Identifies sources of leads and manages thepre-qualification process in collaboration with sales and corporate marketing.
• 9. Tracks result of outbound campaign efforts.
• 10. Backs up inbound customer service, as needed.
• 11. Comply with all DOT and OSHA regulations.
• 12. Ensure all safety rules are strictly observed.
• 13. Perform other projects and duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills andAbilities

• High School Graduate with diploma and/or prior experiencein outbound calling/inside sales, outside sales or marketing desirable.
• Excellent customer service skills. Ability to establishand manage customer relationships
• Ability to work independently and under some pressure tomeet deadlines.
• Demonstrates a clear and effective speaking manner for thepurpose of explaining information to customers and employees.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in allunits of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
