Job summary

Federal Express Corporation is seeking to train and lead Package Handlers in unloading, loading, palletizing, and scanning to ensure efficient and safe movement of packages. The role includes coaching peers, reinforcing safety standards, and supporting new procedures.

Ideal candidates train others effectively, communicate clearly, and understand sorting instructions. The position requires ability to lift and move packages, work in loud environments, and maintain a DOT file when operating

Qualifications

No formal education required; six months of PH experience preferred.
Ability to train multiple PHs simultaneously.
Ability to understand instructions and safety procedures.
Ability to discern numbers and sort packages correctly.
DOT file and valid driver's license required for switching equipment operators.

Responsibilities

Train new PHs in unloading, loading, palletizing, carrying, SWAK, and non-conveyable handling.
Provide ongoing instruction to PHs in techniques and safety.
Offer feedback on proper package handling methods as needed.
Reinforce dock safety standards among peers.
Update managers on conditions during sort to support efficiency decisions.
Assist in implementing new package handling procedures.
Regularly load/unload and move packages while training others.
