Job summary

Federal Express Corporation is seeking a Package Handler Trainer to coach new PHs in unloading, loading, palletizing, and scanning to ensure safe and efficient package movement. This role also reinforces dock safety standards and supports operations with hands-on training and feedback.

Expect to rotate through areas such as Loader, Unloader, Palletizer, Scan Weigh and Key, QA, and more while maintaining DOT and safety compliance. Prior PH experience preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Ability to train multiple peer PHs simultaneously.
• Ability to understand and follow instruction regarding work duties and safety methods.
• Ability to discern numbers and information in order to sort packages correctly.
• Ability to use basic tools and equipment such as skate wheel rollers, dock carts, hand-held scanners, chutes and unloading devices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment.

Responsibilities

• Trains new PHs in unloading, loading, palletizing, carrying, smalls handling, SWAK, and non-conveyable package handling techniques.
• Provides training to other PHs on unloading, carrying, loading, palletizing, smalls handling, SWAK, or non-conveyable package handling techniques.
• Provides feedback on proper package handling techniques, as needed.
• Reinforces dock safety standards among peer PHs.
• Understands and demonstrates by example all necessary processes and procedures.
• Updates managers on conditions during the sort so operation efficiency decisions can be made.
• Assists in the implementation of new package handling procedures and techniques.
• Regularly loads/unloads, palletizes, lifts, carries, pushes and pulls packages while training other PHs.
